My Model Railroad

Equipment

The Leeds Hill Railroad is a G-gauge model railroad. This means that it runs on 45mm gauged track and that the scale can actually vary. Unlike a scale model railroad such as HO, G-gauge is a range of scales including (but not limited to) 1:22.5 - 1:32. The railroad has been through several iterations already over its 6 years. Currently, the layout is a raised table-top railroad inside a garage. The lore of the LHRR discusses history of the line which uses real historical facts to ground the story. Essentially, the railroad is a museum. The collection of equipment ranges from very early era to more modern, contemporary art pieces.

Most of the LHRR rolling stock has been modified in some way, even if just the couplers being changed over to Kadees.
General Mods

HO-Scale

In the fiction of the Leeds Hill Railroad, the HO-scale equipment acts as a true 1/4-scale railroad (a theme park-type of set-up) when compared to the full-sized (G-gauge) stock. This allows use of multiple model scales in one layout.
