Millis Industrial Spur off Medfield Junction (Framingham Subdivision) owned by Mass Coastal Railroad.
#1701 has been parked here for some time. I have found a few posts online of people going to visit the engine dating back to at least 2017. According to one person, the engine moves freight infrequently on the spur.
I visited in April, 2025 and took these photos. The engine sits right at the level crossing as if it is waiting for cars to go first. There is also a bridge over he Charles River only a couple hundred feet south-west of the crossing. This engine has a pin on my historical RR map.
This track used to be part of the MBTA commuter rail system.
According to a thread on Railroad.net, in 2013 the engine had already been parked here for 'a long time'. The thread also discusses the age and origins of the engine. (Full disclosure: I only read page 1.)
